Tiffany & Co. is an American jewelry and silverware company founded in 1837 in New York. The company’s founders are Charles Lewis Tiffany and Teddy Young, who started the company named Tiffany, Young and Ellis selling stationery items. The name was changed into Tiffany & Co. in 1853 when Charles Tiffany took control, and made jewelry the company’s area of expertise.

Tiffany published their first catalog, known as the "Blue Book", in 1845 and has continued this practice up till today. In 1867 Tiffany & Co. became the first US firm to win an award for the excellence in silverware at the Exposition Universelle in Paris. In 1877 the company created the famous insignia that would become the New York Yankees "NY" logo. It was engraved on a medal of honor awarded to the first NYC police officer shot in the line of duty. The Yankees adopted the logo in 1909.

The company revised the Great Seal of the United States in 1885 and the Medal of Honor on behalf of the United States Department of the Navy in 1919. This "Tiffany Cross" version was rare because it was awarded only for combat. In 1968, US First Lady Lady Bird Johnson commissioned Tiffany to design a White House china service decorated with 90 flowers. Tiffany & Co. collaborated with Japanese mobile phone operator SoftBank in 2008 in making a limited 10 model-only cellphone. It contains over 400 diamonds.

Several famous and experienced designed currently create collections for Tiffany: Frank Gehry, Elsa Peretti, Paloma Picasso, Jean Schlumberger, Richard Lambertson and John Truex .

Tiffany's flagship store, since 1940, is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street in Manhattan, New York City. Its tiny window displays are famous worldwide. The store has been the location for a number of films including Breakfast at Tiffany's, starring Audrey Hepburn, and Sweet Home Alabama, starring Reese Witherspoon.

The Company’s manufacturing facilities produce approximately 60% of Tiffany merchandise. Tiffany produces jewelry and silver goods in Mount Vernon, New York, Cumberland, Rhode Island and Lexington, Kentucky and silver hollowware in New Jersey. Other subsidiaries of the Company process, cut and polish diamonds at facilities outside the U.S.

Numeours Tiffany fans worldwide who enjoy wearing their designs are famous US families, athletes, Hollywood stars and European royalty.

In the late 1980s, Tiffany & Co. entered the fragrance business. The first fragrance was released in 1987 – that was Tiffany for women, a floral perfume for women by perfumer Francois Demachy. Two years letter Tiffany for Men was launched in 1989 and developed by perfumer Jacques Polge. The flacons were designed by Pierre Dinand. Several other fragrances for men and women followed.

 

Designer Tiffany has 14 perfumes in our fragrance base. The earliest edition was created in 1987 and the newest is from 2019. Tiffany fragrances were made in collaboration with perfumers Francois Demachy, Daniela (Roche) Andrier, Jacques Polge, Honorine Blanc, Marie Salamagne, Sophie Labbe and Nicolas Beaulieu.
